Trend Overview A/W12/13...

Over the last few days I have been doing my research on the upcoming trends for AW12 and yesterday, I was backstage at the AW12/13 launch for BT2. Unfortunately I didn't get to take any behind the scenes pictures so here's just a quick overview of some of the fast approaching Winter trends I have come across...

Luxury Layering - Again, layering is a big trend this Autumn/Winter yet this season it is even more so than before. If you feel like you are over-doing it with the layers then you are doing it right! Knitted jumpers under heavy knitted cardigans with an over-laid placement collar accompanied printed trousers/jeans for a casual cozy look and worn with chiffon or leather pleated skirts for a more dressy, feminine look. This trend was seen on the catwalk this season by designers such as Prada, Missoni, Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton.

Creative Countryside - When we think of winter in the country side, we imagine big cozy knits, chunky jumpers and cardigans, printed sweater's, checks and plaids. These are always a popular winter trend and this season is no exception. However, it isn't the typical check walking down the catwalks, we are seeing this trend in new silhouettes, new prints, and new colorways. Here is how the designers are doing countryside this season.

50 Shades of Burgundy - Burgundy is probably one of the most apparent color this season coming in an array of different shades and tones.

Over-Sized Over-Load - This trend has been popular over the last few seasons, however, the silhouette this season has changed slightly and consists of over-sized slouching shoulders and stand-away body shapes which are quite daring. Have a look below at the designer's interpretations of this trend.
