Hi :)
Today, I have decided to do my first post about my own make-up look I did for a night out. A few friends have asked why I haven't really put any pics of myself on my blog and I have also had a few requests for more about my own personal style and make-up etc so I have decided to give it a go. I would love you to let me know if this is something you would like to see more of :) Apologies if the images aren't the best quality, I will need to invest in a good quality camera if I'll be doing more posts like this in the future. You can e-mail me any questions, suggestions or feedback at: sassiedoll.blog@outlook.com, Enjoy x
Last night I was heading out for my sisters birthday, we were heading into a Record Launch Party in town to support one of her friends launching his first single. So for my make-up look I chose to go with a smokey bronze and gold eye with a red lip.
EYES: The eyelashes I wore were a bit more dramatic than what I would normally go for on a night like this, but I had just picked them up in Penneys a few days before hand and decided to give them a go. I used my Urban Decay NAKED Palette to create the smokey look, I used the color Half Baked on my lid and then worked Smog and Dark Horse into the crease and outer corners. I also added a bit of Creep (which is a black color) into the very outer corner to darken it a bit more. I used a liquid eyeliner by Essence to draw along my lash line and wing out the corners. I finished the eyes off by filling in my eyebrows with my Brow Zings by Benefit (I am currently trying to grow out my brows a bit to create a thicker more defined shape so they don't look the best in these pics at the mo, oopsies).
SKIN: I wore a MAC foundation on my skin as they always photograph well and are really long lasting. Last night I went with my Studio Sculpt foundation in color NC30. I set the foundation with a Rimmel transparent powder. To add a bit of contour I just used a matte bronzer by Catrice (030 Medium Bronze) under my cheekbones, along the side of my nose and around my neckline. I highlighted my cheekbones with a Catrice Blusher (050 Apropos Apricot) and then moved onto the lips.
LIPS: For my lips I lined them with a Catrice lip liner - 004 Indian Pink (I'm sure you have noticed I am using a lot of Catrice products at the moment, it is so affordable and there is so much variety) I then used my MAC lipstick in Russian Red and added a slick of clear gloss to the middle to finish off the look.
I hope you've enjoyed my first personal make-up post and remember to 'LIKE' Sassie Doll on facebook HERE and if you would like to contact me personally about any blog related queries you can do so at: sassiedoll.blog@outlook.com
