Holy Moly I am so bold, I haven't written a blog post in a month!!!
I have still been posting on my social media accounts for the blog though but back in November I started a new job as a trainee fashion buyer and it has just been so busy and super long hours that I really haven't had the time or energy over the last few weeks to compose good blog posts! But I just realized how much I missed it and I actually find writing/blogging very relaxing and therapeutic so here we go... :)
Today's post is the 'Make-up Addict Tag', I was tagged a few weeks ago by the FAB make-up artist/blogger and now youtuber... Fabiana Coppola. You can check out her website HERE! (On a side note... Fabiana is doing my makeup for a wedding I am going to on Saturday, so I will post the completed look she does on me after Saturday...stay tuned!). OK, let's get started!
1. What product do you keep buying more of despite having plenty of it in your collection?
I think this would have to be foundation...There are a few that I love but I am yet to find the perfect foundation so I am always buying new ones to try.
2. What is the one product you can't live without?
Um, this is a tough one. I have become very fond of MAC prolongwear concealer, so possibly that to brighten up my eyes and cover blemishes! Or mascara?!
3. Favorite make-up brand?
As of right now I think I would have to choose Estee Lauder. Since Christmas I have been using Estee Lauder skin care, mascara and eyeliner and I am in love with all of them!
4. How big is your make-up collection?
Not too big. It could definitely be bigger! :)
5. How do you store your make-up collection?
I have a 2 shelves and a drawer where I store all my make-up. Some is packed into make-up bags within the drawer. Lipsticks and brushes are in an acrylic make-up stand that I got from Home store and more. I carry my everyday items in my handbag at all times, and the rest is lose in a drawer.
6. How many items of make-up do you have in your handbag at the moment?
So I just counted and I am no longer wondering why my hand bag is so heavy! I think it's time to clear out my make-up bag... I currently have 14 items of make-up in my hand-bag!
7. If you could raid another bloggers' stash who would it be?
I think it would be Carli Bybel! I love watching her make-up tutorials and when she does a make-up room tour I just want it all!!! Check out her channel HERE!
8. How long does your usual make-up routine take and how many products do you use?
This one really depends. On a weekday morning before work I do my make-up in about 20 minutes, sometimes less if I'm in a hurry! I would use about 6 products on days like this - Foundation, powder, bronzer, blush, mascara and a brow pencil. But if it's for a night out, an occasion or just the weekend in general it would probably take me up to an hour or so.
9. Have you ever bought make-up knowing you will never use it?
I think I always buy things that I know I will at-least try out at home, but sometimes I buy things knowing I will probably never wear them outside my house!
10. Tag a few other make-up addicts to do this tag.
I am going to tag Teodora Kirilova from 'Rocababe'
Hope you enjoyed this post...until next time <3 p="">
Lots of love,
SassieDoll

MAKE-UP: CUT CREASE SHADOW AND NUDE LIP
Hiya :)
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, thanks for popping by for a look on the blog :)
Today I decided to try a cut crease eye-shadow look for the first time, I defo need some practice but I thought I'd share the look anyway and let you know what products I used.
Eyes: I started with the colour 'latte' from my W7 'In the nude' eye-shadow palette. For the crease I used a black shadow from a French connection palette I have but any black shadow will do the job. I just applied this with a thin, flat brush above my natural crease. I blended this upwards with a dark bronze shadow from the same French Connection palette. I then applied the gold colour 'Half Baked' from my Urban Decay Naked Palett over the latte base shadow. I then mixed the black and bronze colour and blended this under my eye.
Liner: I used Catrice Ultra Fine ink Liquid Liner to create a winged look. I used Estee Lauder Kajal eyeliner in blackened black for my water line.
Brows: Wet'n'Wild Brow liner in dark Brown
Mascara: Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme
Foundation: L'Oreal Infallible in colour 140 Golden Beige.
Contour: Natural Collection Bronzing Powder
Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte
Lips: MAC Please Me Lipstick
Lots of Love,
SassieDoll

Simple Halloween Make-up...
Hi All,
I have been so busy lately just about to start a new job etc that I haven't had time to post much...I will update you more on this soon.
But for now, here is a quick look at my Halloween make-up from Friday night. I was in work all day and wasn't going out or getting dressed up but Myself, family, friends and our boyfriends were all heading to my house for few drinks until the early hours (it was a great night!) So I decided to create a quick and easy Halloween inspired look to get into the Spooky Spirit. So here is my make-up and how I achieved it...
Foundation - Essence Stay All Day Foundation Colour 10 and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Translucent.
Contour - For the dark contour on my cheeks, nose and neck to achieve a Hallow, spooky look I used the colour 'Buck' from my Urban Decay Naked Palette and blended it out with a blusher brush.
Eyes - To create the black eyes I used 'Creep' from the NAKED palette as well as 'Buck' under the eyes and smudged it outwards. I then applied Rimmel Black eyeliner and a few thick layers of Essence 'I love extreme Volume' Black mascara.
Brows - I filled in my brows with Benefit brow zings, a bit darker than usual to compliment the dark halloween look.
Lips - I used MAC 'Russian Red' lipstick on my lips and lined them with my black Rimmel eyeliner and blended it in to create a darker red look. I also drew a small scar/stitch mark beside my lip using my essence liquid liner.

BEAUTY: Interview with MAC Make-up Artist Fabiana Coppola
Hellooo :)
This week I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing the extremely talented Fabiana Coppola! Fabiana is a professional MAC make-up artist who has been working in the industry for years. Her work is so creative and flawless that she can make anyone look and feel like a million dollars :) Check out our interview and pictures of Fabiana and her work below...Enjoy x
Q. When did you realize you wanted to be a make-up artist and what inspired you to pursue it?
A. With virtually no knowledge of make-up, I was given my first brush set at 17 and re-created a look I saw in a magazine. It was the first time I realized I was actually good and something so I decided to make a career out of it!
Q. How long have you been working in the make-up industry?
A. I have been working in this industry for 6 years now.
Q. Who is your Style Icon?
A. It changes quite frequently, but right now, Oliver Proudlock. His style is so unique, he can pull off anything! I'd love to dress like him and just add a feminine twist with my make-up.
Q. Who is your biggest inspiration in the Fashion/Beauty industry?
A. Kabuki, he is a make-up God! A sign of true talent is when you can look at an image and tell who the artist is straight away. With him, I can always tell.
Q. What is your signature make-up look?
A. My make-up is very structured. I like my eye shadow winged and love overdrawing my lips to perfection.
Q. What is one product you could not love without?
A. Ruby Woo lipstick by MAC. I feel like the most powerful person on the earth when I wear lipstick and if a product makes you feel that way, you should never have to live without it!
Q. Do you have any tips on how to best prep your skin before applying make-up?
A. Prep for your individual skin type. This is so important if you want perfect skin. Use Gel based products for dry skin or use products containing Silica to combat oily skin.
Q. What are your favorite products for Contouring?
A. I like to mix up my textures. I prefer to use cream for highlighting the cheekbones to give a soft natural look, nothing too glittery. To contour, I use powder. 'Baby do not Go' Prolongwear MAC blush and Pearl cream colour base are all you will ever need.
Q. What is your fave make-up Trend for this Season?
A. The constant re-occurring Trend of Dewy, Glowing skin will always be my favorite. Whether you decide to go for a full blown smokey eye or just lashing on the mascara, if your skin is flawless you will look incredible every single time.
Q. Do you have any advice for any young girls hoping to break into the make-up industry?
A. Do it for the right reasons, not just because you think its all Glamour. I became an artist because make-up brought me out of my shell and I wanted to help other people to feel that way. With make-up, you can see your client's confidence level physically go from a 3 to a 10 because of your work. If you think you would find that rewarding, then you are looking into the right Industry!
Thanks so much Fabiana for answering all of our questions.
If you would like to see more of Fabiana's amazing work (and pics of her adorable Chihuahua Olive) then you can follow her on instagram @FABSYYY or for bookings you can contact her on: 0857038737

BEAUTY: My Top 3 Summer Foundations...
Hi there :)
Here is a brief review and break down of my top 3 foundations for the summer. I have been trying to find something with lighter coverage and a light weight feel for during the summer and I want something that is still long lasting throughout the day in work. I'm still not sure if I have found the PERFECT summer foundation yet for my skin but these 3 are coming pretty close (especially the Rimmel one) so I thought I'd share them with you...Enjoy xXx
1. RIMMEL - WAKE ME UP FOUNDATION
I only tried this foundation recently for the first time and it is probably my favorite out of the three that I am talking about today for a good, summer, long lasting, day wear foundation. It has a really light, smooth texture on the skin which is perfect for the hotter days so you are not left feeling like your skin is trapped under a layer of foundation in the heat. It gives a gorgeous dewy glow to the skin as well which I love. I have wore this one to work the last couple of weeks and a few people have complimented it and said it looks very natural. Another great selling point for this as a perfect summer foundation is that it contains SPF15 so it is ideal for wearing during the day when you are out and about to protect your skin. The best part, it is so affordable at only €10.99 in Boots.I currently have this foundation in Soft Beige 200. The shade is ideal for a more natural look with little to no tan however it is a bit too light for me when I am wearing a bit of tan so next time I'll be picking up the next shade darker.
2. MAYBELLINE - DREAM SATIN LIQUID
I first tried this foundation a couple of years ago and loved the finish it leaves on your skin. It has a lovely smooth coverage and as it says on the bottle it gives a 100% Pore-less look and an Airbrush finish. I chose this as one of my fave Summer foundations because it is a really light silky feel on the skin and the shades it comes in have a perfect golden under tone for blending with a tan. The only problem I have with this foundation is that it is not that long lasting and I find during the summer your make-up tends to wear off quicker due to the heat and oils so it's not great if you have to go work in somewhat warm conditions for more than 4 hours or so. But otherwise it is a lovely foundation and again very affordable at €11.99 in Boots.
3. MAC - MINERALIZE FOUNDATION
3. MAC - MINERALIZE FOUNDATION
I have only recently tried a sample of this foundation as a few girls I know have been wearing it and it looks gorgeous and glowing on them. I have wore it the last two days and it has a gorgeous summer glow and again it is a light weight feel on the skin. Another great thing is that like the Rimmel foundation, MAC mineralize has SPF 15 in it and is very moisturizing on the skin. My only negative about this foundation is that I tend to have an oily T-zone and after wearing this foundation for a couple of hours I found my skin looking quite oily rather than glowy. However I know girls who wear it all day in work and it is gorgeous. So I suppose it just depends on your skin type! I think it is around €37.50 in BT2 and Brown Thomas stores.
So there you go, My Top 3 Foundations for Summer 2014!
If I find any better in the mean time I'll be sure to update you. Also if you have any favorite Summer foundations then defo let me know so I can try them out...I'm always on the look out for new products!
Lots of Love

What's in My Make-up Bag
Hi :)
Happy Tuesday :)
Today's post is just on what is usually in my make-up bag on an average day when I am heading to work. I use a lot of affordable products mixed with the odd MAC/higher priced item so I thought it would be good to share this for anyone who is interested!
So first, the make-up bag I am using at the moment is by Estee Lauder, I got this bag as a free gift when I purchased two items or more from Estee Lauder, the items I got at the time were the Double Wear foundation and a Primer. I love this foundation for day wear however when you use it on a night out, it doesn't have light reflecting pigments so it makes your face look really white in comparison to your tan in photos.
I am currently using Essence Foundation which you can read my review on HERE!!! However, I have been trying to reduce the amount I carry around in make-up bag so I have stopped carrying a foundation with me. I currently have, a mascara (I very rarely top up my mascara during the day but it's always handy to have). My liquid eyeliner, a pencil eyeliner, a lipstick (which ever one I have chose to wear that day), a powder and bronzer and my eyebrow bar.
Happy Tuesday :)

I currently have, a mascara (I very rarely top up my mascara during the day but it's always handy to have). My liquid eyeliner, a pencil eyeliner, a lipstick (which ever one I have chose to wear that day), a powder and bronzer and my eyebrow bar.
The picture above is a breakdown of the products, the concealer is MAC Prolongwear and this comes in handy when you've had a long day in work and are heading out after to cover up the tired circles under your eyes. I wouldn't usually need to use it through out the day though as it has really good longevity. Today, I have MAC 'Please Me' lipstick in my make-up bag, it is a soft pink-ish color that is perfect for daywear. I have just ran out of my MAC Studio Fix powder foundation but this is a must in my make-up bag weither I am going to work for the day or going for lunch or on a night out, it has great coverage and is great for tpping up throughout the day when needed as it comes with a little sponge and mirror. However, when I have run out of this (like at the moment...waiting on pay day!) I use the powder and bronzer shown below. They are both by Catrice Cosmetics and are less than €5 each! As much as I love my MAC powder, you could buy 7 powders from Catrice for the same price as 1 MAC powder! :/
I also carry my eyebrow bar with me just in-case I ruin my brows when I top up my powder or something! And I always carry my eyeliners as they are definitely something I top up throughout the day!
I hope you enjoyed this post, I will do more 'What's in my Make-up Bag' posts for different occasions and nights out over the next few months! If you have any questions about any of the products used or general queries you can e-mail me directly at: sarah@sassiedoll.com

BEAUTY BARGAIN OF THE WEEK: Wet n Wild Nail Polish
Hi All,
Happy Monday! :) Unfortunately I am off work sick today...not fun :( but on the bright side I can do loads of blog research from my bed for the day :) So I should have a few more posts up this week!
Anyway, for this weeks Beauty Bargain I have chosen another nail polish (I know I did a nail varnish last week too but I just picked this one up during the week and it defo deserves a little post as well). It is by an LA brand which is a new arrival to Dunne's Stores all over Ireland. The brand is 'Wet n Wild' beauty Los Angeles. It is an affordable yet luxury beauty brand which is renowned for it's cheap prices and good quality. There also seems to be a wide range of products available in Dunne's Stores since it hit down only a few weeks ago.
I only have the one item to judge it by but so far so good. I picked up the Wet n Wild 'Wild Shine' nail varnish in color 'Tickled Pink' and I LOVE it!!!
This particular color is a pale, girly pink, which a lot of the time these pale colors can be too transparent and don't cover the nail but 2 coats of this gives full coverage with a lovely shine.
It will definitely be a re-occurring color on my nails throughout the summer! And the best part...it was only €1.99! BARGAIN!!!

BEAUTY: MAC MAGNETIC NUDE 2014
Hi Girlies,
Has anyone seen or purchased anything from the MAC Magnetic Nude collection yet? It is AMAZING!!! It hit down in BT2 about a week ago and has already sold out of some products.
The shimmering bronzed eye-shadows, skin finishes and nude glosses and perfect for the summer season. They will add a glow to anyone's skin.
The collection consists of 3 multi-dimensional skin-finishes, 3 blushers, 4 lipsticks, 5 lip glosses, 5 eye-shadows, fluid-liners and 2 split fibre brushes.
They come in the most beautiful nude, bronze and pink sun-kissed shades. I will definitely have a few of these as staple pieces in my make-up bag throughout Spring/Summer 2014! :) xXx
